Adaptive Fitness Partnership Volunteer Help individuals with physical disabilities participate in exercise and wellness activities in a supportive, inclusive environment. Volunteers work one-on-one or in small groups alongside YMCA staff to encourage participation, build confidence, and promote independence. Responsibilities may include: Assisting participants during fitness activities on the wellness floor Providing encouragement, motivation, and social support Supporting participants during aquatic exercise and pool-based activities Helping participants safely navigate equipment and exercise spaces Assisting YMCA staff with program setup and cleanup Creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for all participants No fitness experience is required. Volunteers should be patient, dependable, and comfortable interacting with individuals of varying abilities. Training and ongoing support will be provided by YMCA staff. Commitment: Flexible based on volunteer availability and program schedule. Impact: Help individuals with disabilities improve their health, confidence, independence, and connection to the community through exercise and wellness programming. As an Early Learning Volunteer, you will assist educators in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 0–7 years / preschool age]. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with young children and are interested in making a positive impact on early childhood development. Key Responsibilities: Support classroom staff with supervision during playtime, story time, meals, and outdoor activities Engage with children through reading, games, art, and other hands-on activities Help set up and clean up classroom materials and learning centers Model positive behavior and encourage age-appropriate social skills Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Support special events, field trips, and classroom celebrations as needed Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all children and families Follow all health, safety, and center policies and procedures
