We are seeking caring and dependable volunteers to support our early learning classroom team. As an Early Learning Volunteer, you will assist educators in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 0–7 years / preschool age]. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with young children and are interested in making a positive impact on early childhood development. Key Responsibilities: Support classroom staff with supervision during playtime, story time, meals, and outdoor activities Engage with children through reading, games, art, and other hands-on activities Help set up and clean up classroom materials and learning centers Model positive behavior and encourage age-appropriate social skills Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Support special events, field trips, and classroom celebrations as needed Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all children and families Follow all health, safety, and center policies and procedures

Volunteer at the South Shore YMCA Nature Center's annual Maple Day festival at 48 Jacobs Lane, Norwell, MA 02061! This family-friendly event celebrates the New England maple sugaring season—from tapping our maple trees to boiling sap into delicious maple syrup. Guests will enjoy educational activities, crafts, music, maple flavored treats, and entertainment both indoors and outdoors. Volunteers will assist with event set-up, admissions, children’s activities, tattoos, concessions, clean-up, and more. Thank you! Important: Please dress in layers and be prepared to spend time outside. Volunteer assignments will be provided upon arrival!
